Ashley and her precious, growing family were looking for a sunset beach, outdoor themed photoshoot to capture this season in their lives before they welcome their second child. Thankfully, Southern California is full of beautiful landscapes and beaches! Together we worked to find the perfect spot to get the feeling she was looking for in her family photos. There is nothing more fun than playing around in the sand and waves during a photoshoot! It always brings the biggest smiles to the faces of the kids we get to work with. During this photoshoot, Josiah and I were trying to focus on guiding movements and activities rather than stale or stagnant poses that don’t feel natural. We always aim to capture the most authentic, natural moments in our work. We want every one we work with to feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Regardless if it’s our film street photos or family shoots like this one, we want to highlight the authentic moments. This sunset family photoshoot definitely captured Ashley’s beautiful family!
