We bumped into S & J while on a family trip to Tahiti several years back. We were spending time with family when we saw J get down on one knee and pop the question to S! Our whole family was cheering, and we realized that this is such a special memory for the couple. We quickly grabbed our camera gear, ran through the water, and offered to take a few pictures for them so they have a gallery to remember this life-changing trip! We spent some time taking pictures on the beach with the crisp, clear blue water, the stunning over-water huts and Mt. Otemanu making an appearance in the background. We met them again at sunrise to capture a few more photos before we parted ways. It was a sweet and special connection we made, and it was such a privilege to document such a pivotal moment in their relationship!

A few months later, we got a message on Instagram from S + J about documenting their wedding in Sayulita, Mexico and we already had our bags packed! We met them in Sayulita, a beautiful and quaint fishing and surf village in Nayurit. We spent the weekend with them celebrating their love and we were absolutely blown away by the connection and love of their entire family! There was not a dry eye the entire weekend.

Their wedding weekend wasn’t just about the ceremony; it was a full experience that captured the essence of who they are and the admiration they have for their family. Every detail was thought of, including the catamaran trip the day before the wedding—a sun-soaked adventure that perfectly set the tone for the days ahead. Surrounded by the sea and their closest friends and family, S & J made sure everyone had a blast. There was music, dancing, and the kind of laughter that comes from truly living in the moment. It was a reminder of how effortlessly they bring people together and how much joy they spread just by being themselves.
